BGMEA Discusses Sustainable Collaboration with German Development Agency GIZ

BGMEA held a meeting with the German development organization GIZ on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) to discuss ongoing and potential collaborative projects. BGMEA was represented by Vice President Vidiya Amrit Khan and Directors Sheikh Hossain Muhammad Mustafiz, Mohammed Sohel, Fahima Akhter, and Rumana Rashid.

Representing GIZ were Thomas Rolf, Cluster Coordinator – SED TEC; Stoyanka Stich, Cluster Coordinator – Energy Cluster; Dr. Michael Klode, Project Manager, STILE II; Steffen Siegle, Component Leader, STILE II; and Gundolf Klaehn, Project Manager, SCAIP.

The meeting focused on key areas including recycling, circularity, sustainability, and other initiatives critical to the development of the apparel sector. Both sides expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation and work together toward building a more sustainable and responsible industry.
