Bangladesh Embassy and TICA hold meeting in Bangkok to strengthen Bangladesh-Thailand relations

Ambassador of Bangladesh Embassy Fayyaz Murshid Kazi met with Director General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) Mr. Chulabhat Narinthrangura in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opening new horizons of mutual cooperation including public health, agriculture and fisheries sectors.

The discussion focused on taking joint initiatives to prevent tropical diseases like dengue and chikungunya. During this, the ambassador gave special recognition to the experience of Mahidol University in the global health sector.

Ambassador Fayyaz Murshid Kazi mentioned the potential of Bangladesh’s growing medical tourism and pharmaceutical industry and said, “Bangladesh is committed to ensuring the availability of essential medicines for all on a fair and equitable basis.”

In addition, he proposed launching language and cultural training programs for Bangladeshi workers with the support of TICA to increase cooperation and develop skills in the labor sector.
