Bangladesh Consul General pays courtesy call on Fujairah Chamber Chairman

Mr. Md. Rasheduzzaman, Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai, paid a courtesy call on Sheikh Saeed bin Saroor Al Sarki, Chairman of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday (July 15, 2025). In the meeting, constructive discussions were held on the expansion of bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Bangladesh and Fujairah.

Chairman Sheikh Saeed Sarki warmly welcomed the Consul General and assured his chamber of all-out cooperation in developing closer relations between Bangladeshi businessmen and Fujairah businessmen. He also discussed the possibility of establishing direct air and sea connections, highlighting the geographical advantages of Fujairah.

Consul General Rasheduzzaman highlighted the investment-friendly environment of Bangladesh and the investment potential in the special economic zones. He urged Sheikh Saeed Sarki to send a business delegation from Fujairah to visit Bangladesh to further strengthen trade relations between the two countries.

At the time, he sought the assistance of the chamber in running the business of expatriate Bangladeshi businessmen living in Fujairah and informed about the possibility of importing ready-made garments, jute and jute products, medicines, leather and agricultural products from Bangladesh.

The meeting held at the Fujairah Chamber building was attended by Sarur Hamad Obaid Hamad Johari, Vice Chairman of the chamber, Ahmed Zaher Almadani, Board Member, Director General Sultan Jamei Al Hindasi, Commercial Counselor of the Bangladesh Consulate Ashish Kumar Sarkar and First Secretary (Press) Md. Arifur Rahman.
