The Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok participated in the ‘International Conference on the Global Partnership Against Online Scams’ held in Bangkok. The Bangladesh delegation was led by the Bangladesh Ambassador to Bangkok in this conference organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The Ambassador presented the country’s position on behalf of the Bangladesh government at the conference and Bangladesh joined the Bangkok Joint Statement as a co-sponsor. Through this initiative, Bangladesh has expressed its strong commitment to combat online fraud and cyber-enabled crimes through international cooperation.
In his speech, the Ambassador said that Bangladesh is keen to adhere to international standards and exchange experiences and take joint initiatives with different countries to combat cybercrime. The conference served as an important platform for representatives, experts and policymakers from different countries of the world.
