Bangladesh Bank has launched a new initiative to groom the country’s promising youth into entrepreneurs. Through this program—titled “Upazila-based Young Entrepreneur Identification and Financing Program: UDYOG”—promising young individuals across various regions and upazilas will be identified and provided with necessary funding and support.
A notification from Bangladesh Bank states that a primary objective of the ‘UDYOG’ program is to turn the youth’s entrepreneurial dreams into reality and make them self-reliant. Under this initiative, promising young people in remote and upazila-level areas will be identified, and arrangements will be made to provide suitable financing and necessary assistance to implement their ventures.

Applicants can directly download the application form from Bangladesh Bank’s official website (www.bb.org.bd), the SME portal, and the websites of all scheduled banks in the country.
Bangladesh Bank has urged young people to prepare plans for their business or entrepreneurial ventures and participate in this program. The central bank expects that engaging promising youth from various regions in entrepreneurial activities will boost employment creation and increase their participation in economic activities.
