US Provides 500,000 NS1 Rapid Test Kits to Bangladesh to Combat Dengue

Diplomatic Desk:

The United States is providing 500,000 US-made Dengue NS1 rapid test kits to Bangladesh to assist in combating the ongoing dengue outbreak.

During a visit to Kurmitola Multicare Specialized Hospital, US Chargé d’Affaires in Dhaka, Trishita Maula, inspected the use of these test kits in dengue detection and clinical management.

During the visit, she observed how these US-supplied rapid test kits are helping to enhance capabilities—ranging from the initial assessment and rapid identification of dengue patients to laboratory-level diagnosis.
