Bangladesh, a safe haven for people of all religions: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yaser Khan Chowdhury said that as part of the BNP’s 31-point election pledge, the current government is working to ensure the religious rights of people of all religions. He said that the government is following the policy of equally distributing allocations for all religious places of worship, including mosques and temples and churches.

The State Minister said this while visiting a puja pavilion in Nandail Upazila of Mymensingh on Friday (April 24, 2026).

The State Minister said that the government is working keeping in mind the principle of “religion to each, state to all.” It is the commitment of the current government to ensure that every citizen of the country can practice their respective religions without any hindrance.

Later, Yaser Khan Chowdhury participated in the final match and prize distribution ceremony of the Primary School (Boys and Girls) Gold Cup Football Tournament in his constituency in Nandail.

At this time, he emphasized on developing sports as a profession and said that the development of sports is an important aspect of the BNP’s election pledge. With the sincere efforts of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the country’s sports sector is moving forward and the government is taking various initiatives to encourage the young generation to play sports.

Local public representatives, teachers and students of educational institutions and sports-loving spectators were present at the event.
