Australian High Commissioner meets with Women’s Reform Commission on development cooperation for women’s equality and empowerment

Australia is committed to three key areas – women’s equality, women’s economic empowerment and increasing women’s representation in leadership and decision-making. In line with this, Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle recently met with Shirin Haque, Chairperson of the Women’s Reform Commission.

During the meeting, High Commissioner Ryle expressed interest in learning about the Commission’s activities and their role in the advancement of women and assured Australia of possible cooperation.

Shirin Haque, Chairperson of the Women’s Reform Commission, highlighted the Commission’s current activities, future plans and existing challenges.
