Army chief visits flood affected area in Chagalnaya of Feni

On Tuesday (27 August 2024), Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC visited the flood-affected areas at Chagalnaya in Feni district. During the visit, he distributed relief to the flood victims in Chagalnaya and adjoining areas of Feni district.

After that, he was informed about the need of essential goods from the flood victims and exchanged opinions about the issues to be done with the aim of making the ongoing rescue and relief distribution activities more effective from the representatives of the voluntary organizations. During this time, he gave the necessary guidance to the army personnel engaged in rescue and relief distribution work.

The visit was attended by General Officer Commanding 33 Infantry Division and Area Commander Comilla Area and senior army officers of the headquarters. Note that this operation of the army will continue until the flood situation is normal.
