Army Chief leaves for Malaysia to attend 14th Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs’ Conference

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC left Dhaka for Malaysia on Monday (22 September 2025) on a four-day official visit to attend the ’14th Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs’ Conference (IPACC)-2025′.

The conference, jointly organized by the US Indo-Pacific Command and the Malaysian Defence Force, will be attended by the chiefs of the land forces of the Indo-Pacific region. They will discuss strengthening friendship and cooperation, exchanging views on addressing common challenges, and taking coordinated action in regional crises.

The Bangladesh Army hopes that this visit will further strengthen bilateral relations between the countries of the Indo-Pacific region and the Bangladesh Army and create new possibilities for mutual cooperation.

After the visit, the Army Chief will return to Bangladesh on September 27, 2025.
