According to Section 17 of Trade Organization Act 2022, Vice Chairman of Export Development Bureau Md. Anwar Hossain has been appointed as administrator of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
On Sunday (October 20, 2024), this information was informed in an order signed by Md Abdur Rahim Khan, Additional Secretary (Director General of Trade Organizations) of the Ministry of Commerce.
The order states that the appointed administrator shall notify the ministry within 120 (one hundred and twenty) days of handing over responsibility to the selected committee through a fair and impartial election.
