The government has appointed National Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz as special assistant to the Chief Adviser with the rank of Adviser.
A notification regarding this appointment was issued on Thursday (November 13, 2025). The notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid said that the chief advisor to the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has appointed Professor Ali Riaz as his special assistant.
