AFWC trainees visit Police Headquarters

Trainee officers of Armed Forces Wear Course (AFWC)-2025 visited Police Headquarters on Tuesday (July 15) afternoon. The visit was organized as part of the course conducted by the National Defense College (NDC) at Mirpur Cantonment in the capital.

The trainee team was led by Brigadier General Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chief Instructor of NDC. During the visit, he paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam BPM.

Later, a meeting of senior police officers with the trainees was held at the ‘Hall of Pride’ of Police Headquarters under the chairmanship of Additional IGP (Development) Md. Tawfiq Mahbub Chowdhury. An informative documentary on the history, heritage, mission-vision, contribution to the Great Liberation War, internal security and participation in UN peacekeeping missions of Bangladesh Police was screened at the meeting.

In the meeting, the trainee officers exchanged views in detail on the current activities and future plans of the police. The trainees sincerely thanked the IGP for the warm welcome.

In the chairman’s speech, Additional IGP Md. Tawfiq Mahbub Chowdhury said, “The armed forces and the police work together in any crisis in the country. Such inspection activities play an important role in enhancing mutual professionalism and camaraderie.”
