Sheikh Bashiruddin, Advisor to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism of the interim government, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
The appointment was announced in a notification issued by the Biman-1 branch of the ministry on Tuesday (August 26).
The notification mentioned that Sheikh Bashiruddin has been appointed as the Chairman in accordance with the Articles of Association of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited in accordance with Section 30(c) of the Bangladesh Biman Order 1972 (Reorganization and Expansion) Act 2020 and the powers of the government under the Companies Act 1994.
