Abdul Haque Elected as BARVIDA President, Riaz Rahman as Secretary General

The Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) has announced its new executive committee for the 2024-26 term, with Abdul Haque elected as president. This marks his fourth term in the position, reaffirming his leadership in the organization.

The election was held on Saturday (December 21, 2024) where the Democratic Council, led by Abdul Haque, secured an overwhelming majority. Abdul Haque was elected unopposed as there were no competing candidates for the president’s position.

Riaz Rahman, the proprietor of Riaz Motors, has been elected as the Secretary General. The three vice presidents are Moha. Saiful Islam, Habibur Rahman Khan, and Farid Ahmed.

Other key positions in the executive committee include: Joint Secretary General: Syed Jaggul Hossain, Treasurer: Md. Saiful Alam, Joint Treasurer: Md. Hafiz Al Asad, Organizing Secretary: Zobayer Rahman, Publicity and Publication Secretary: Md. Abdul Awal, Planning and Development Secretary: S.M. Monsurul Kabir, Cultural Secretary: Md. Golam Rabbani

The 25-member executive committee also comprises: A.B. Siddique, Md. Anisur Rahman, Akhter Hossain Mazumder, Md. Kaiser Morshed, Ahsanur Rahman, Poonam Sharmin, Zahir Uddin Md. Babar Chowdhury, Benjir Ahmed, Md. Humayun Kabir Bhuiyan, Mujibur Rahman, Md. Zahir Iqbal, K.M. Shafiullah, and Dibakar Barua.

Under this new leadership, BARVIDA aims to further the growth of the reconditioned vehicle industry and advocate for the interests of its members.
