Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka celebrates 58th ASEAN Day

The ASEAN Dhaka Committee (ADC) celebrated the 58th ASEAN Day at the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka. The event was co-hosted by the High Commission of Brunei, the current ADC Chair, and the Ambassadors/High Commissioners of all ASEAN countries serving in Dhaka.

The event was graced by the presence of Mostafa Sarwar Farooqui, Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs as the Chief Guest. Around 130 guests, including senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of government agencies, diplomatic corps and members of international organizations, attended the event.

The High Commissioner of Malaysia, as the current ASEAN Chair, addressed the event. He highlighted the importance of the Kuala Lumpur Declaration, the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit. He also reiterated Malaysia’s strong support for ASEAN-led efforts to promote peace, dialogue and regional stability.
