The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide $400 million by December as part of the budget support for the fiscal year 2024-25.
On Sunday (September 15) at the Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, after a courtesy meeting with the delegation of ADB and Japan International Development Agency (JICA) and the High Commissioner of Australia (acting) appointed in Dhaka, Finance and Trade Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed informed this information.
It is known that ADB will give 1500 million dollars to reform the banking sector. The first installment of 500 million US dollars will come in March next year.
ADB has been asked for US$ 1 billion for reforms in Bangladesh’s energy sector, which is under negotiation.
