Two short films produced by SS Multimedia have made it to the official selection of international film festivals—which is being considered a significant success in the independent film world of Bangladesh.
The film ‘The Last Calling’, produced by Mashrur Mawla and written and directed by Amin Robin, has been selected for the Swedish International Film Festival (SIFF), a Stockholm-based international festival in Sweden. Notably, the producer Mashrur Mawla himself has played the lead role in this film, which is also a unique testament to his acting skills.
On the other hand, ‘End of 14 Days’, directed by Sudipta Roy, has been selected for the renowned Mumbai-based film festival KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival in India. The film is produced by Mashrur Mawla and co-produced by Sudipto Kundu.
Both films are receiving international acclaim for their combination of story, production style and acting. This achievement by Mashrur Mawla’s production company SS Multimedia has opened up new horizons of inspiration for domestic filmmakers.
