Kosovo film opens the Francophonie Festival 2025 in Dhaka

The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Dhaka had the honour to open the Francophonie Festival 2025 with the screening of “Sans le Kosovo / Without Kosovo” — a powerful short documentary by Swiss-Kosovar filmmaker Dea Gjinovci.

CDA a.i. / Counsellor Enis Xhemaili, addressed the audience with opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of film and storytelling in preserving historical memory and building cultural bridges.

The event was attended by over 30 participants, including students, media professionals, diplomats and cultural stakeholders. Following the main screening, guests enjoyed a short selection of cultural films from Kosovo and a cocktail reception highlighting Kosovo’s vibrant creative identity.

The Embassy of Kosovo expresses its sincere appreciation to the Alliance Française de Dhaka and all guests for their warm presence and support.
