Foreign Adviser had a meeting with Romanian Foreign Minister at ‘Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025’

On the sidelines of the ‘Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025’ Hon’ble Foreign Adviser, H.E. Mr. Md. Touhid Hossain had a meeting with the with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania H.E. Mr. Emil Hurezeanu on Saturday (12 April 2025). Bangladesh Ambassador to Türkiye and other senior officials from both the sides attended the meeting.

The meeting had a focused discussion on sectoral cooperation of mutual interest. The Romanian side agreed to the Bangladeshi proposal of arranging alternative mechanisms for the issuance of visas to the Bangladeshi nationals. They further proposed to explore the possibilities of signing a bilateral instrument on migration and mobility to ensure legal migration between these two countries and the Bangladeshi side concurred. Both sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in various sectors including agriculture, car and rail industries and trade and investments. The Romanian side further agreed to support the Bangladeshi bid to continue with the GSP plus facilities within the European Union.
