Investment prospects in Bangladesh are bright: BGMEA administrator

Speaking at the ‘Textiles and Apparel’ session of the ‘Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025’ on Thursday (April 10, 2025), BGMEA Administrator and Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Anwar Hossain said, “Bangladesh is now moving forward from an investor’s perspective.” He emphasized the country’s rapidly developing infrastructure, Special Economic Zones and investment-friendly policies.

The session was titled ‘Bangladesh is moving forward from an investor’s perspective’ where he highlighted how the government is implementing long-term plans to attract foreign investors.

The event was attended by foreign investors, policymakers, industry leaders and relevant stakeholders from around the world. They discussed the opportunities, challenges and future prospects for increasing trade and investment in Bangladesh.

Speakers at the event cited the progress of Bangladesh’s ready-made garment industry, the competitive nature of its workforce, and the country’s position in the international market as key investment attractions.

The summit aimed to highlight Bangladesh’s untapped potential and create a conducive environment for international investors through policy changes.
