Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has called on the young generation to develop themselves as ‘Three-Zero individuals’ to save the world from destruction.
He said this while addressing the BIMSTEC Young Generation Forum in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday (April 4, 2025).

The Chief Advisor of Bangladesh was the keynote speaker at the event.
Professor Yunus said that the world is now moving towards a self-destructive civilization, as it continues to follow the old economic model of carbon emissions, waste production and resource accumulation.
He said, “If we want to survive, we have to move towards a new ‘three-zero’ civilization, zero carbon emissions, zero waste and zero resource concentration.”
Regarding the importance of the ‘three-zero club’, he said, if five people come together, they can form a three-zero club, where they will be free from carbon emissions, waste production and resource concentration at the individual level and will themselves become three-zero individuals.
The chief advisor said to the youth, “You cannot change the world in a day, if you want to bring about change, then start from your own village.”
