Labor and Employment Adviser joins 353rd session of ILO

A high-level delegation led by Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, has joined the 353rd Governing Body meeting of the ILO.

The delegation led by the Labor Advisor joined the opening ceremony of the meeting to be held in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday (March 10, 2025).

The delegation included Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, AHM Shafiquzzaman, and Permanent Representative of the Bangladesh Mission to Geneva, Tarek Md. Ariful Islam.

During the opening ceremony, M. Sakhawat Hossain met with Director General Gilbert F. Houngbo and other high-level officials of the ILO and described the overall improvement in the labor situation in Bangladesh.

The Labor Advisor also highlighted the steps taken by the current government in detail.

The Bangladesh delegation, led by the Advisor, will actively participate in important sessions including upcoming events.
