Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi on Monday (August 3, 2026) paid a courtesy call on Mahbubur Rahman, President of the 2026 International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh (ICCB), at the ICCB Secretariat.
Other members of the ICCB Board were also present during the meeting.
The meeting discussed various aspects of further strengthening trade, investment and economic cooperation between India and Bangladesh. Both sides emphasized the important role of the private sector in innovation, investment and sustainable economic growth for mutual benefit and prosperity.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the need to strengthen people-to-people connectivity and expand business engagement to further deepen the long-standing partnership between India and Bangladesh.
During the meeting, both sides expressed hope that India-Bangladesh economic relations will further strengthen in the coming days through increased cooperation between the business communities of the two countries, creation of new investment opportunities, and expansion of trade.
