Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that the government will always be by your side in supporting the country’s young entrepreneurs and those who dream of becoming entrepreneurs. He commented that although the path to taking up new ventures is difficult, success is possible through willpower and hard work.
The Prime Minister made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a program titled ‘Youth, Startups and Potential of Bangladesh’ organized at the Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) morning.
At the program, the Prime Minister inaugurated the ‘National Startup and Entrepreneurship Platform’, an initiative of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department, to ensure connectivity, advice, investment and necessary support for young entrepreneurs.
The Prime Minister said, “Now is the time to work. The path is very difficult for those who are new entrepreneurs or want to become entrepreneurs. But if you have the willpower, success is possible.”
He said, “You will have to go through a lot of hardships. However, the government is by your side to cooperate and show you the way. We will try to be by your side with our utmost strength.”
At this special event titled ‘Youth, Startups and Potential Bangladesh’, the Prime Minister participated in an open discussion with young students on startups, innovation and entrepreneurship development.
At the event, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman handed over donation checks to the representatives of six selected startup companies. He encouraged the youth to further advance their innovative initiatives.
After the event, the Prime Minister visited the exhibition stalls of the startup companies. He was informed about various innovative projects and exchanged views with the entrepreneurs.
The concerned parties hope that this initiative of the government will play an important role in creating new business and employment opportunities by utilizing the innovative power of the country’s youth.
