Chamber Judge Court suspends High Court ban on Swadesh Properties’ activities, no more obstacles to running Swarnali Housing Project

Online Desk:

The Chamber Judge Court of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has suspended the ban imposed by the High Court Division on the activities of Swadesh Properties Limited’s Swarnali Housing Project. As a result, there is no more legal obstacle to running the project.

On Wednesday (June 10, 2026), Justice Farha Mahbub of the Chamber Judge Court accepted the appeal filed by Swadesh Properties Limited and suspended the previous prohibitory order of the High Court Division.

According to court sources, on June 1, the High Court Division of the Supreme Court issued a ban on the activities of the Swarnali Housing Project. Against that order, Swadesh Properties Limited filed a civil petition for leave to appeal No. 1706/2026 in the Chamber Judge Court of the Appellate Division.

After hearing the application, the Chamber Judge’s Court suspended the High Court Division’s ban. As a result, there is no longer any legal obstacle to the ongoing activities of Swadesh Properties Limited’s Swarnali Housing Project.

The concerned persons of Swadesh Properties Limited said that with this court order, the project’s development activities, customer service and other administrative activities will be carried out normally.

The date of the next hearing in this regard and the final settlement of the case will depend on the next order of the Appellate Division.
