The National Economic Council (NEC) meeting has begun under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, MP.
The meeting was held at the Bangladesh Planning Commission auditorium in Agargaon, Dhaka, at 10 am today, Monday (May 18, 2026).
The meeting will discuss the finalization and approval of the Annual Development Program (ADP) for the fiscal year 2026-27. In addition, the country’s development priorities and project implementation strategies are being reviewed in detail.
The meeting will also include the presentation and approval of the outline of the five-year economic strategy paper titled ‘Five Year Strategic Framework for Reform and Development (FYSF 2026–2030)’.
