The Central Executive Council Election 2026 of the Trinamool Journalists’ Organization of Bangladesh ‘Sammilit Sajjad Parishad (SSP)’ was held in a peaceful and festive atmosphere throughout the day at the Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium of the National Press Club in the capital.
In this election held on Thursday (May 14, 2026), SSP representatives from different districts of the country exercised their voting rights. Two to three representatives from each district committee participated in the election. There was a festive atmosphere among the supporters of the candidates and the general members surrounding the election.
Golam Faruk Majnu was elected as the President by a huge vote in the election and Muhammad Abu Abid was elected as the General Secretary.
In addition, Md. Nesar Uddin, Md. Fazle Newaz and Md. Anwaruzzaman Azad were elected as the Vice Presidents. Ed. Hasan Alam Sumon and Md. Habibur Rahman.
Md. Kamrul Islam, Md. Miraj Hossain and Md. Shahidul Islam have been elected as the organizing secretaries. Shuvankar Sen Shuvo has been elected as the treasurer, Meem Akhter as the office secretary, Abdul Mannan as the international secretary, Md. Zakir Hossain as the social welfare secretary, Nipa Akhter as the women’s affairs secretary, RK Ripon as the cultural and sports secretary and Abdullah Al Noman as the publicity and publication secretary.
Enayet Hossain Khan Rimon, Shariful Islam, Mokammel Hossain Chowdhury, Ranjan Lod Raju, Suma Rani Karmakar and Md. Faruk Hossain Bappi have been elected as the executive members.
