Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman inaugurated Hajj Flight – 2026

Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman inaugurated Hajj Flight – 2026 on Friday (April 17, 2026) night. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam, MP, and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP were present at the time.

The Prime Minister said, I thank Allah for getting the opportunity to meet you today on the eve of the Hajj pilgrimage. May Allah grant us the strength to complete the work that the current government is trying to do for the people of the country. At this time, she exchanged greetings with the Hajj passengers and prayed for the prayers of the Hajj passengers for the country and the nation.

According to the Hajj management roadmap announced by the Saudi government, Hajj Flight – 2026 has started from today. This year, around 78,500 Hajj pilgrims will be transported through 207 flights of Biman Bangladesh, Saudia and Flynas Airlines without any chartered flights. In addition, the cost of each ticket has been reduced by Tk 12,000 compared to last year.

The inaugural flight of Hajj from Bangladesh left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Saudi Arabia at 00:20 with 419 pilgrims. There are a total of 14 flights today, of which six will be transported by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, four by Saudia and four by Flynas.
