Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Waqar-uz-Zaman on Monday (February 23, 2026) bestow Major General rank badge on newly appointed Director General of the Directorate General of Defence Intelligence (DGFI), Brigadier General Mohammad Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury, at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment.
Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC, was present at the ceremony. The newly appointed Director General was formally inaugurated as Major General by donning the rank badge.
Senior military officials including Advisor in Charge at the Ministry of Defence Brigadier General (Retd) Shamsul Islam, Chief of Naval Staff M Nazmul Hasan and Chief of Air Staff Hasan Mahmud Khan were present at the event.
