BNP Chairman and Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, paid tribute to the heroic martyrs of the language movement by placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar on the first hour of the Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.

The Prime Minister reached the Central Shaheed Minar at 12:01 am and placed wreaths. At this time, she stood in silence for a while and paid deep respect to the memory of the martyrs of the language movement. Later, a special prayer was held for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs.

Then, the Prime Minister, along with the members of the cabinet, placed wreaths at the Shaheed Minar again.

Later, on behalf of the families of the great independence proclaimer martyr President Ziaur Rahman and the late national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman and his family members paid tribute at the Central Shaheed Minar.
