Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor M Siraj Uddin Mia gets additional charge of Cabinet Secretary

Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor (Contractual) M Siraj Uddin Mia has been given additional charge of Cabinet Secretary. This information was given in a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration on Saturday (February 14, 2026) by the President’s order.

The notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Jeti Pru said that M Siraj Uddin Mia has been given additional charge of the said post. This order issued in the public interest will come into effect immediately.

Meanwhile, in another separate notification, it has been informed that the remaining period of the contractual appointment of Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid, who is in charge of the Cabinet Secretary, has been cancelled. This decision was mentioned in the notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Mohammad Mamun Shibli.
