Training workshop for postal vote counting officers held in Bandarban

On the occasion of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026, a training workshop was held for the presiding officers, assistant officers and polling officers of the postal vote counting centers organized by the Bandarban District Election Office, Bangladesh Election Commission. The workshop was held on Monday (9 February 2026) in the conference room of the District Election Officer.

Mr. Shamim Ara Rini, Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer of Bandarban Hill District, was present as the chief guest at the event. Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Superintendent of Police of the district, was present as the special guest. Mr. Mohammad Kamrul Alam, District Election Officer, presided over the workshop.

Speaking at the workshop, Superintendent of Police Md. Abdur Rahman said that the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026 is an important democratic process. In this process, the responsibilities of the presiding officer, assistant officer and polling officer of the postal vote counting center are very important. If the knowledge and instructions received in the training are followed properly, it will be possible to conduct the election in a free, fair and impartial manner.

He also said that Bangladesh Police will perform its duties with utmost professionalism, honesty and impartiality to maintain law and order during the election and ensure the safety of voters. He also strongly stated that no kind of rumors, chaos or illegal activities will be tolerated around the election. He sought the sincere cooperation of all concerned to conduct the voting in a peaceful environment.

The concerned officers, presiding officers, assistant officers and polling officers of the postal vote counting center were present in the training workshop.
