Land services have now reached the fingertips of the common man: Land Advisor Ali Imam Majumdar

Staff Correspondent:

The interim government has achieved 10 major milestones in a short time to make land services activities easy, transparent and hassle-free for the common man. Land Advisor Ali Imam Majumdar said that through administrative reforms, use of modern technology and enactment of new laws, land services have now reached the fingertips of the common man.

He presented a detailed report on the 10 major achievements of the interim government at a press conference organized at the Secretariat on Tuesday (February 10, 2026). The press conference was organized at the Food Ministry.

The land advisor said, “In the past few months, groundbreaking reforms have been brought in land management. As a result, the suffering of citizens has decreased, corruption has decreased and the speed of services has increased.”

Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed and Food Secretary Md. Firoz Sarkar were present at the press conference. A detailed report on the achievements of the interim government in land matters was presented at the time.

The report stated that an integrated digital platform called ‘land.gov.bd’ has been launched from January 2025 to bring land services under one umbrella. By using the Land Service Gateway (LSG), citizens are now getting all types of land services including mutation, land tax payment and maps through a single login.

In addition, with the launch of e-Mutation 2.1 version, holdings are being created automatically immediately after land purchase. It was reported that fraud such as selling the same land multiple times by hiding information has been completely stopped.

With the new system, citizens do not have to go to the land office repeatedly. Now, the service is completed by appearing in the office only once for a hearing, which saves both time and cost.
