Palestinian Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Jamaat Ameer

The Honorable Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the Honorable Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh, Mr. Yusuf S. Y. Ramadan, paid a courtesy call on him. The meeting was held at the Ameer-e-Jamaat’s office in Bashundhara, the capital, on Wednesday (January 28) morning.

The party’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Propaganda and Media Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, were present with the Ameer-e-Jamaat during the meeting.

The meeting, held in a very cordial and cordial atmosphere, discussed various aspects of the deep and historical relations between Bangladesh and Palestine. At the time, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the people of Bangladesh, regardless of party or opinion, have always stood by the just struggle of Palestine and will continue to do so in the future.

He strongly urged the UN, OIC and the international community to take effective steps to immediately end Israel’s destructive plan of occupation and forced eviction in Gaza. He also said that Bangladesh’s prayers, love, cooperation and genuine support will continue until Palestine is established as a fully independent state.

In response, Palestinian Ambassador Mr. Yousef S. Y. Ramadan expressed deep gratitude to the people and leadership of Bangladesh on behalf of the Palestinian people. He expressed hope that the mutual cooperation and solidarity between Bangladesh and Palestine will be further strengthened in the future.
