Kosovo Ambassador to Dhaka gives special message in ‘Special January, 2026 Edition’ of “Business in Bangladesh Newsletter” on the occasion of English New Year

Dear Friends and Partners in Bangladesh,
As the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, I extend my sincere New Year greetings to the people of Bangladesh, with my best wishes for peace, stability, and continued progress as we welcome 2026. The friendship between Kosovo and Bangladesh is founded on mutual respect, shared values, and steadily growing people to people connections.

Over the past year, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Dhaka has worked actively to strengthen this partnership, with education and trade remaining at the core of our engagement and cooperation. In 2025, Kosovo was proud to support the Education in Emergencies and Child Welfare Program for Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, underscoring its commitment to humanitarian responsibility and solidarity with Bangladesh. In the face of regional and global challenges, Kosovo and Bangladesh stand together in supporting each other and advancing shared humanitarian values.

Cultural and academic exchanges have also played a meaningful role in bringing our societies closer. The Art Festival on Kosovo–Bangladesh Relations, held at the Engineering University School and College on the BUET campus, and Kosovo Film Days 2025 organized at several universities in Dhaka, offered valuable platforms for dialogue, creativity, and mutual understanding among young people.

Our academic and diplomatic cooperation advanced further through the participation of junior Bangladeshi diplomats in the annual Diplomatic School held in Kosovo, as well as through the Guest Lecture delivered at the Foreign Service Academy. As Bangladesh enters an important transition period, including the forthcoming elections, I sincerely wish the country every success in ensuring a peaceful, inclusive, and credible process that reflects the aspirations of its people. In facing both internal and internationally emerging challenges, Kosovo and Bangladesh will continue to stand together, guided by friendship, cooperation, and shared resilience.

On this occasion, I extend my warm greetings to Business in Bangladesh and its readers, wishing you continued success in promoting informed dialogue and economic development. May 2026 be the best year yet for Bangladesh and Kosovo, marked by prosperity, stability, and an even stronger bond of friendship between our two nations.
