EU Election Observation Mission Chief Observer and Member of the European Parliament Evers Ijobs pays courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer

On Monday (January 12, 2026) at 12 noon, a 3-member delegation led by EU Election Observation Mission Chief Observer and Member of the European Parliament Evers Ijobs paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his Bashundhara office. The meeting was held in a very cordial and cordial atmosphere.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues related to the interests of Bangladesh and the European Union. In particular, it was mentioned in the meeting that Bangladesh and the European Union will work closely to make the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections free, fair and acceptable. In addition, they expressed their views on making all constitutional and democratic institutions of Bangladesh stronger and more sustainable.

At that time, the European Union assured that a 200-member delegation of the Union would work to observe the upcoming national elections in Bangladesh.

They expressed hope that the bilateral relations, development and progress between the European Union and Bangladesh would continue in the future.

The Ameer-e-Jamaat was accompanied by the organization’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Propaganda and Media Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, eminent educationist Dr. Zubair Ahmed, Development Team Lead Mr. Dewan Alamgir and the Ameer-e-Jamaat’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
