Former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s funeral procession began with an emotional short speech by party acting chairman Tareque Rahman. At the time, he sought prayers from everyone for his mother.

In a short speech before the funeral procession began at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital after 3 pm on Wednesday (December 31), he sought prayers from everyone.

Tarique Rahman said, “If anyone owes the late Khaleda Zia any debt, please let me know. I will definitely make arrangements to pay it, Insha Allah.”
He also said, “At the same time, if anyone has been hurt by any of her actions or words, I apologize to you on behalf of my mother. Please pray that Allah may grant her paradise.”
