Japanese Ambassador expresses deep shock over Begum Khaleda Zia’s death

The Japanese Embassy in Bangladesh has expressed deep shock and condolences over the death of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message, Japanese Ambassador Saida Shinichi said that they are deeply saddened by the death of Begum Khaleda Zia. She expressed sincere condolences on behalf of the Japanese government to the family of the deceased, BNP leaders and activists, and the government and people of Bangladesh.

The condolence message mentioned that Begum Khaleda Zia visited Japan twice during her tenure as Prime Minister and made important contributions to strengthening Bangladesh-Japan bilateral friendship and cooperation. The Japanese Embassy expressed gratitude for her dedication and achievements in developing relations between the two countries.

The message prayed for the eternal peace and eternal peace of the deceased’s soul.
