BKMEA holds discussion on Bangladesh Labor Law (Amendment) Ordinance 2025

The board of directors of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) held a discussion meeting with the members of Narayanganj Zone on several important issues of Bangladesh Labor Law (Amendment) Ordinance 2025.

The meeting, organized at the BKMEA head office in Narayanganj on Sunday (December 21, 2025), was held under the chairmanship of BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem.

The meeting was attended by BKMEA Executive President Fazle Shamim Ehsan, Vice President (Finance) Morshed Sarwar Sohel, Vice Presidents Ashikur Rahman, Fakir Kamruzzaman Nahid, Mohammad Rashed, Directors Jamal Uddin Mia, Mohammad Zakaria Wahid, Ratan Kumar Saha, Belayet Hossain, Shahriar Sayeed, Mohsin Rabbani and Rakib Sobhan Mia.

In addition, the respected members of BKMEA’s Narayanganj Zone were also present in the meeting and expressed various important opinions related to the sector.

The meeting discussed in detail the various sections of the amended labor law, its implementation process and its potential impact on the country’s ready-made garment industry and export-oriented sectors. The discussion emphasized the protection of labor rights, sustainable development of the industry and implementation of the law while maintaining international standards.
