Contribution of brave freedom fighter policemen is memorable: KMP Commissioner

On Thursday (18 December 2025) morning, a reception was held for brave freedom fighter police members (retd) and martyred family members at the Police Lines Multipurpose Drillshed in the city’s Boyara on the occasion of the great Victory Day-2025.

The president of the program, Mr. Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, Police Commissioner of KMP, and BPM-Seba Sir welcomed the brave freedom fighter police members (retd) and martyred family members with flowers.

At the beginning of his speech, the president of the program, the Police Commissioner, paid deep respect to the sacrifice of brave martyrs and mothers and sisters who lost their honor in the great Liberation War. The most glorious time in the history of Bangladesh Police was the year 1971. He humbly remembered the contribution of all the police members who sacrificed their lives and made unique contributions in the great Liberation War. As the best son of the nation, the heroic contribution of Bangladesh Police in the great Liberation War is a matter of great pride for them. He wished the surviving freedom fighters good physical and mental health and long life from Almighty Allah. Then he assured that Khulna Metropolitan Police would be by their side in any need. At the same time, he sought their experience and advice from the experienced members of the retired police present at the event. He handed over gifts to the family members of the brave freedom fighters and martyrs.

At this time, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Ops) of KMP Mr. Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan BPM-Service, PPM (Bar); Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic and Protocol) Mr. Muhammad Shahnewaz Khaled, PPM-Service; Deputy Police Commissioner (Head Office) Mr. M, M Shakiluzzaman, who has been promoted to the post of Additional DIG; Deputy Police Commissioner (South) Mr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, BPM-Service; Deputy Police Commissioner (Logistics and Supply) Mr. Marina Akhter, along with brave freedom fighter police members (retd) and members of the martyr’s family were present.
