12th National SME Product Fair Begins in Dhaka on 7 December

The 12th National SME Products Fair, the largest exhibition of 100% domestic products, is going to be held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon, the capital, from December 7-14, 2025. The fair, organized by the SME Foundation under the Ministry of Industries, will be inaugurated by Adilur Rahman Khan, Industry Advisor to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The inaugural ceremony to be held at the ‘Hall of Fame’ on December 7 at 10 am will be presided over by SME Foundation Chairperson Md. Musfiqur Rahman.

Advisor on Cultural Affairs Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui, Special Envoy of the Chief Advisor on International Affairs Lutfe Siddiqui, Executive Chairman of BIDA Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Secretary for Industries Md. Obaidur Rahman, Managing Director of SME Foundation Anwar Hossain Chowdhury and Samim Ahmed, member of the Board of Directors and convener of the fair implementation committee. City Bank MD and CEO Masrur Arefin will be the guest of honor. Crests and certificates will be handed over to 6 micro, small, medium and start-up entrepreneurs selected for the National SME Entrepreneur Award 2025 at the same event.

SME Foundation Chairperson Md. Musfiqur Rahman said that this year more than 350 SME organizations will participate in the fair, 60 percent of which are women entrepreneurs. Although organizations from various sectors are participating, the presence of entrepreneurs from the ready-made garment sector is the highest (74). In addition, products from more than 20 sectors including handicrafts and crafts, footwear, leather products, jute products, agriculture and food processing, light engineering, IT services, herbal products, electronics will be exhibited at the fair. In addition, departments and organizations of the Ministry of Industries, government institutions, more than 30 banks and financial institutions will participate in the fair.

SME-related workshops, training and banker-entrepreneur loan linkage activities will be organized for entrepreneurs every day at the fair. Entrepreneurs will be able to get an idea of ​​loan facilities by discussing directly with bank representatives and lending institutions. In many cases, entrepreneurs will be able to apply for loans at the fair itself. In addition, information about training, incubation centers and other services will be provided through the temporary office of the SME Foundation at the fair.

Along with the 8-day fair, 6 special seminars related to the SME sector will be held at the Windy Town Hall from December 8-10—where automated innovation, export diversification of women entrepreneurs, halal certification, patent-trademark-GI recognition, skills ecosystem and climate-resilient SME financing will be discussed.

The SME Foundation has been organizing the National SME Fair since 2012. So far, about 3,000 entrepreneurs have participated in 11 fairs, sold more than Tk 57 crore of products and received orders worth Tk 93 crore. In addition, more than 5,000 entrepreneurs have participated in 93 regional/divisional SME fairs across the country.

The main objective of organizing the fair is to promote and expand the products of SME entrepreneurs, expand the market, increase mutual connections, and provide entrepreneurs with necessary knowledge and guidance through seminars and discussions. The fair will be open to visitors from 10 am to 9 pm every day and entry will be completely free.
