BNP announces candidates for 36 more seats ahead of upcoming parliamentary elections

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced candidates for 36 more seats in addition to 237 seats ahead of the 13th parliamentary elections.

Today, Thursday (December 4, 2025), the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of the candidates at a press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, the capital.

The names of the candidates for the 36 seats that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) announced today are – Dr. Abdus Salam in Thakurgaon-2, AKM Kamruzzaman in Dinajpur-5, Zahidul Islam Dhalu in Naogaon-5 and Md. Anwarul Islam in Natore-3.

Selim Reza in Sirajganj-1 constituency, M Iqbal Hossain in Jessore-5 constituency, Monirul Islam in Narail-2 constituency, Amir Ejaz Khan in Khulna-1 constituency, Mohammad Shahidul Alam Talukder in Patuakhali constituency, Joynal Abedin in Barisal-3 constituency and Rafiqul Islam Jamal in Jhalokati-1 constituency.

In addition, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku in Tangail-5 constituency, Abu Wahab Akhand Walid in Mymensingh-4 constituency, Md. Mazharul Islam in Kishoreganj-1 constituency, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Iqbal in Kishoreganj-5 constituency, S. A. Jinnah Kabir in Manikganj-1 constituency and Md. Kamruzzaman in Munshiganj-3 constituency.

Hamidur Rahman in Dhaka-7 constituency, Habirur Rashid in Dhaka-9 constituency, Sheikh Rabiul Alam in Dhaka-10 constituency, MM Jahangir Hossain in Dhaka-18 constituency, Md. Mojibur Rahman in Gazipur-1 constituency, Md. Harun Or Rashid in Rajbari-2, Khandokar Nasirul Islam in Faridpur-1, Nadira Akhter in Madaripur-1 constituency, Jahandar Ali Khan in Madaripur-2 constituency, Nasir Hossain Chowdhury in Sunamganj-2 constituency, Nurul Islam in Sunamganj-4 constituency.

Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “We will announce the names of the candidates in the remaining constituencies in due course.”
