Md. Mamunur Rahman, Founder & CEO of EXPOPRO and Editor-in-Chief of EXPOPRO Journal, has been honored with the Perdasama Excellence Award 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to entrepreneurship in trade and investment promotion.
The prestigious award was presented by the Malay Traders and Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia (Perdasama) at the Perdasama Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner 2025, held at the KSL Esplanade Hotel, Klang, Malaysia. The ceremony was graced by Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dr. Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, who also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional contributions to entrepreneurship and economic development.
Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the award, Mr. Mamunur Rahman said, “This recognition reflects EXPOPRO’s commitment to building bridges between business communities, fostering sustainable partnerships, and advancing trade and investment opportunities between Bangladesh and Malaysia. We are furthering this vision through the 1st Bangladesh International Halal Showcase (BIHAS 2025), scheduled for December 15, 2025, at the Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre by IHG, Bangladesh, featuring participation from Bangladeshi and Malaysian companies and stakeholders across the global Halal industry.”
The Bangladesh International Halal Showcase 2025 (BIHAS 2025) aims to position Bangladesh as an emerging hub in the global Halal economy, providing a unique platform for trade, investment, and collaboration across Halal food, lifestyle, and industrial sectors.
Perdasama President Mohd Azamanizam Baharon highlighted the efforts of regional partners like EXPOPRO in promoting inclusive entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth. He also noted that Perdasama, Malaysia’s only Bumiputera economic NGO, serves as a panel adviser to the Advisory Committee for the PuTERA35 Guidelines and, as of September 2025, has reached 27,480 members across 50 business and industrial sectors.
The Perdasama Excellence Gala Dinner 2025 also recognized other categories, including the Leadership Award and Strategic Partner Award, celebrating excellence, collaboration, and innovation among entrepreneurs and business organizations.
