Egyptian Ambassador to Dhaka pays courtesy call on BNP Secretary General

Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Dhaka Omar Fahmy paid a courtesy call on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of the Egyptian Embassy Sohela Mahran was present with him in the meeting held in the capital.

During the meeting, the relations between the two countries, important regional and international issues and the potential for mutual cooperation were discussed. The ambassador exchanged views on the ongoing political situation and democratic process in Bangladesh. The BNP Secretary General highlighted the party’s position on the overall political environment of the country, establishment of democratic rights and people’s expectations.

Also present at the meeting were BNP Standing Committee member and Chairperson Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, BNP Acting Chairman’s International Affairs Advisor and BNP Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir, and BNP Organizing Secretary and Chairperson Special Associate Advisory Committee member Shama Obaid.
