Chief Adviser calls for making the report of the Reform Commission easy to understand and open to the public

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called for preparing an easy-to-understand book of the report of the National Consensus Commission and making it open to the people of the country.

This Wednesday (October 29, 2025) evening, the members of the National Consensus Commission handed over the eight-volume report to the Chief Advisor at the State Guest House Jamuna. This eight-volume report contains details of the recommendations, meetings and minutes of the Consensus Commission.

At this time, the Chief Adviser said, ‘A simple version of this report should be prepared for the general public. It should be published in the form of a book so that the common people, school and college students can read and understand it and can also explain it to others.’

He called for the book to be published in both English and Bengali.

The Chief Adviser also said, ‘In the future, it should also be kept in mind that this book should become a must-read for students. The young generation will read the book, they will know for themselves and will also tell their parents what is in it.’

Present today during the handover of the report were Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, Commission members Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Dr. Md. Ayub Mia and Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Monir Haider.

While handing over the report, Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz said, ‘This eight-volume report contains the July National Charter 2025, the process of the commission’s activities, the background, written proposals received from various political parties, the opinions of the general public, spreadsheets sent by the commission to the political parties, and all kinds of discussions and dialogues.

‘We believe that in the future, this eight-volume report will become a document for research in various fields at home and abroad,’ he said.

Earlier on Tuesday, the commission submitted recommendations for the implementation of the July National Charter to the government.
