Adviser to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Sheikh Bashiruddin today said that the goal of tourism is not only economic prosperity. Rather, it is to spread a sense of serenity, security, family happiness and wholeness. Traveling together enhances harmony in the family, society and the state and transforms life in a new way.
He said these things at a program organized on the occasion of World Tourism Day-2025 at the Tourism Building in Agargaon in the capital on Saturday (September 27, 2025).
Also present at the program were Syeda Rizwana Hassan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Secretaries of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, representatives of foreign embassies, officials of tourism organizations, senior government officials and media personnel.
Sheikh Bashiruddin said that the Ministry of Tourism has already prepared a code of conduct for tourists, in which all the stakeholders have been involved. Through this, initiatives have been taken to ensure safe, fair and enjoyable travel.
He also said that the national tourism master plan will reflect a clean environment, family atmosphere and safe travel. The advisor expressed gratitude to everyone involved in this process.
Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin inaugurated a colorful rally this morning. The rally started from the Tourism Building and visited the Election Commission, University Grants Commission, Government Music College and Public Service Commission before returning to the Tourism Building.
A bicycle rally, city tour and cultural programs were also organized to mark the day.
