BNP’s development must be conveyed to the next generation: Dr. MA Qayyum

On Friday (September 26, 2025), BNP National Executive Committee Microfinance Affairs Secretary and former founding president of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Dr. MA Qayyum made this call as the chief guest at the Chhatra Dal workers’ meeting of Ward No. 39 Bhatara Thana under the jurisdiction of Chhatra Dal Dhaka Metropolitan North.

He said, “The autocratic government tortured and oppressed the common people and made their lives miserable. The democracy-loving people of the country gave a befitting reply on August 5 last year under the instructions of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.”

He also mentioned, ‘In the past, there was no gas in this area. There was no electricity. These big buildings did not exist before 1991. In 1991, Begum Khaleda Zia said that BNP would identify all kinds of problems in this area and work for development after coming to power. Begum Khaleda Zia came to power after winning the election and kept her promise. She first freed this area from water and electricity. She built roads. These are the developments of BNP. Therefore, the development of BNP must be conveyed to the next generation.’

The main speaker at the meeting was Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal President Md. Salahuddin Ahmed. The special speaker was Mahfuz-ur-Rahman Lipkan, General Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal. Bhatara Thana Chhatra Dal President Riaz Chowdhury presided over the meeting, while Bhatara Thana Chhatra Dal General Secretary Faisal Hossain Rony moderated the event. Leaders from various levels of Ward No. 39, Bhatara Thana Chhatra Dal were also present at the event.
