The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has expanded its Online One Stop Service (OSS) platform with the inclusion of five new services from the Directorate of Registration. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the BIDA Conference Room in the Investment Building, Agargaon, Dhaka.
The newly integrated services include land purchase deeds, lease deeds, agreement deeds, advance (Bayna) deeds, and power of attorney deeds along with certified copies. With this addition, investors will now have access to 142 services provided by 47 agencies through the OSS platform, compared to 137 services offered by 46 agencies previously.
The event was attended by Mr. Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of BIDA (with the rank of State Minister), as Chief Guest. Mr. A.S.M. Saleh Ahmed, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land, and Mr. Md. Liakat Ali Molla, Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, were present as Special Guests. The welcome remarks were delivered by Mr. Shah Mohammad Mahbub, Executive Member (Additional Secretary) of BIDA, while a presentation on the OSS system was made by Mr. Jiban Krishna Saha Roy, Director General of BIDA.
In his keynote speech, Chief Guest Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun stated that from 16 December 2025, the newly integrated services of the Directorate of Registration would no longer be provided manually. He added that the implementation of these services would be reviewed after three months. Highlighting BIDA’s broader vision, he emphasized that steps are being taken to integrate all services of the country’s Investment Promotion Agencies, including BIDA and BEZA, into a unified single-window platform, which is expected to be launched by the end of this year.
Senior Secretary A.S.M. Saleh Ahmed noted that the Ministry of Land had already digitized all its services and was now working to ensure completion of commercial land mutation within one week. He reiterated the ministry’s commitment to providing investment-related services with maximum efficiency in the national interest. Secretary Md. Liakat Ali Molla of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs stressed the importance of sincerity in service delivery and the need to properly inform investors about service fees to prevent harassment and eliminate opportunities for third-party interference.
The ceremony also featured speeches by Mr. Kazi Abdul Hannan, Inspector General of the Directorate of Registration, and Mr. Jiban Krishna Saha Roy, Director General of BIDA. The program was conducted by Mr. Abu Mohammad Nurul Hayat Tutul, Deputy Director of BIDA.
The event was attended by BIDA’s Executive Members, Directors General, senior officials, representatives from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Inspector Registration Officers, District Registrars, Sub-Registrars, and members of the print and electronic media.
