Commerce Adviser and Chinese Ambassador visit Premier Bank Pavilion at BRI Exhibition 2025

The two-day “Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition 2025” organized by the Chinese Embassy at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) began on Friday (September 12, 2025). Premier Bank has set up its pavilion at stalls 75 and 76 of Hall-2 in this exhibition.

The event was inaugurated by Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce S. K. Bashir Uddin. The keynote address at the inaugural ceremony was delivered by Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen. Additional Secretary of the Power Division Md. Sabur Hossain, Additional Secretary and Wing Chief of the ERD of the Ministry of Finance, Mirana Mahrukh, among others, were present as special guests.

After the inauguration ceremony, Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce S. K. Bashir Uddin and Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen visited the Premier Bank Pavilion. They were welcomed by Dr. Arifur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Premier Bank; Md. Sajjad Hossain, Independent Director and Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of the bank; Mohammad Abu Zafar, Managing Director and CEO; Shahed Sikandar, Managing Director of Premier Bank Securities Limited; Nasim Sikandar, Additional Managing Director and Head of Gulshan Branch; Syed Abul Hashem, FCA, FCMA, DMD and Chief Financial Officer; Amlendu Roy, DMD and Head of Banani Branch, and other officials of the bank.

Premier Bank officials said that by participating in the exhibition, they are informing the visitors about banking and investment opportunities, especially services and products related to the Belt and Road Initiative.
